Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced X-Ray Supervisor to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing clinical, organizational, and scheduling support to our team of technologists and radiologists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly technologist schedules to optimize workflow and ensure seamless coverage
  • Communicate daily with departmental directors, managers, and supervisors to address staffing challenges and ensure smooth operations
  • Perform clinical exams as needed in any location
  • Organize and approve add-on exams to maximize workflow and efficiency
  • Assist in the development of clinical x-ray protocols and ensure compliance with departmental standards
  • Lead contact for DOH inspections and practice health and safety inspections
  • Independently resolve issues and coordinate resources to facilitate workflow
  • Maintain daily contact with radiology managers and inform them of departmental activities requiring supervisory action
  • Perform all aspects of employee relations, including evaluations, corrective action, and time cards
  • Responsible for machine maintenance and recordkeeping
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure technologist compliance with credentialing and mandatory trainings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • ARRT certification/licensure
  • NYS Radiology License
  • Knowledge of standard policies, procedures, and protocols to supervise the department
  • Knowledge of radiology standards to evaluate work of technologists and maintain quality assurance
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying and resolving problems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Radiology, healthcare administration, public health, business administration, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a technologist with 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff and physicians
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to function independently in administrative tasks
