Radiology Department Manager

We are seeking an experienced Radiology Supervisor to oversee daily radiology department staff and operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures and troubleshoot any related issues.
- Monitor staff who controls equipment, including x-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, and more.
- Investigate and resolve daily issues regarding equipment problems, staffing assignments, and clinician complaints.
- Review daily patient schedules and ensure coverage assignments.
- Ensure that technologist staff updates patient waits and delays on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain inventory control of equipment and supplies and authorize purchase orders.
- Comply with all clinical procedures and regulations and ensure team members do the same.
- Adhere to radiology standards of operation and patient care standards, including meeting efficiency and productivity standards.
- Provide supportive care to patients by mediating and resolving issues between care providers, radiology technologists, medical staff, and patients.
- Improve and oversee the quality assurance program for the radiology department.
- Provide technical assistance and monitoring in regard to medical imaging, including offering guidance on technique and machine operations.
- Collect data throughout the fiscal year and be prepared to offer reports.
- Mentor, assign, and schedule radiology students to clinical rounds and trainings.
- Review and protect clinical boundaries to assure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiology required.
- New York State X-Ray Technologist License required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant clinical supervisory experience preferred.
