About the Role

Allara is seeking a highly skilled Payer Operations Manager to play a critical role in expanding our care model into new markets and deepening relationships with existing payers. This role will support leadership in implementing new fee-for-service contracts, managing existing payer relationships, and strategically growing our visibility with payers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payer Contracting: Lead the organization and optimization of existing contracts, and work with leadership and vendors to secure and implement new contracts.
  • Payer Collaboration: Collaborate with growth, concierge, credentialing, and revenue cycle management departments to ensure timely and organized payer status information is incorporated into all Allara care flows.
  • Payer Enrollment: Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight to the payer enrollment team.
  • Payer Relationships: Develop and build strong relationships with existing and new payer partners, serving as a primary Allara contact for payer audiences.
  • Contract Auditing: Audit Allara contracts to identify opportunities for growth in contract renegotiations.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with other Allara departments to identify opportunities for process improvement in contract implementation and develop SOPs to remain compliant with multiple payer requirements.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in payer sales, payer operations, payer contracting, and provider credentialing.
  • Prior experience at a national payer is a plus.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with a proven ability to create and maintain partnerships.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional collaboration skills.
