About the Role

Allara is seeking a highly skilled Payer Operations Manager to play a critical role in expanding our care model into new markets and deepening relationships with existing payers. This role will support leadership in implementing new fee-for-service contracts, managing existing payer relationships, and strategically growing our visibility with payers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payer Contracting: Lead the organization and optimization of existing contracts, as well as work with leadership and Allara vendors to secure and implement new contracts.
  • Payer Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including growth, concierge, credentialing, and revenue cycle management, to ensure timely and organized payer status information is incorporated into all Allara care flows.
  • Payer Enrollment: Provide leadership and day-to-day oversight to our payer enrollment team.
  • Payer Relationship Building: Develop and build strong relationships with existing and new payer partners, serving as a primary Allara contact for payer audiences.
  • Contract Auditing: Audit Allara contracts to identify opportunities for growth in contract renegotiations.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with other Allara departments to identify opportunities for process improvement in contract implementation and develop SOPs to remain compliant with multiple payer requirements.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in payer sales, payer operations, payer contracting, and provider credentialing.
  • Prior experience at a national payer is a plus.
  • Experience operationalizing company strategy at a high level, with a willingness to dig into the weeds when needed.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with a proven ability to create partnerships and ensure their ongoing growth and success.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional collaboration skills, with a proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple stakeholders.
