Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Office Coordinator to join our dynamic dental practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our front office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet patients warmly and professionally, and answer calls with a friendly and helpful attitude.
  • Scheduling: Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring smooth patient flow and adherence to office guidelines.
  • Record-Keeping: Post charges and payments, complete insurance benefit breakdowns, and maintain patient accounts with precision.
  • Patient Assistance: Help patients with paperwork, coordinate front and back office activities, and ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Compliance and Coordination: Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and HR policies, confirm lab cases, and attach referral sources to new patient appointments.
  • Supportive Role: Assist the Office Manager with various front office tasks and contribute to the overall efficiency of the practice.

Requirements:

  • Experience and Knowledge: Familiarity with dentistry, dental codes, and dental software (Open Dental) is a plus.
  • Professionalism: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, punctuality, and a polished image both in person and over the phone.
  • Attention to Detail: Perform tasks accurately and efficiently, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Customer-Focused: Friendly, hospitable, and committed to providing exceptional service.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to coordinate patient flow and maintain a clean and welcoming front office.
  • Sense of Urgency: Proactive and tenacious in completing daily tasks.
