Job Overview

TrekRecruit LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Geotechnical Engineering to lead our geotechnical engineering team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of geotechnical professionals, identifying business development opportunities, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians on multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with clients and partners.
  • Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, proposals, and other technical documents, providing practical geotechnical solutions to clients.
  • Conduct geotechnical field investigations, including site visits and data collection, to inform engineering design and decision-making.
  • Perform and review engineering calculations, such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, and seepage, to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of managing teams and delivering projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Physical Demands

The successful candidate will be able to withstand moderate physical activity, including standing, lifting, walking, bending, and stooping. They will also be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time, and work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
