Job OverviewPosition Summary

SAIC is on the lookout for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic satellite launch and initialization team.

In this pivotal role, the Senior Systems Engineer will collaborate closely with a satellite development contractor, acting as a Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) to a government client.

This position serves as the primary liaison between the Satellite provider and the Ground System provider.

The selected candidate will facilitate intersegment meetings among contractors, oversee intersegment requirements documentation, lead command and telemetry compatibility testing, and support the launch and initialization processes for multiple spacecraft.

Candidates should possess a background in satellite technology or satellite ground systems, whether in development or operational phases. Experience in launch and initialization is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • TS/SCI clearance is mandatory
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field with a minimum of 9 years of experience, or a Master's degree with at least 7 years of experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Ability to work independently through all phases of tasks.
  • Openness to travel.
Travel is generally required every other month, with occasional periods of increased frequency.

  • Proven experience in satellite development or operations, along with a solid understanding of satellite ground systems is essential.
SAIC continuously accepts applications, and there is no specific deadline for submissions.
