About the Role

The Housing Authority of Florence is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Director of Facilities Management. This senior executive-level role is responsible for overseeing the overall design, construction, and renovation of properties managed by the Housing Authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program administration and regulatory policy interpretation and compliance
  • Staff supervision and development of policies and procedures
  • Management of Capital Fund budgets and Physical Needs assessments (PNA)
  • Energy Audits, Utility Allowance Consumptions, and property insurance claims
  • Contract administration and procurement
  • Architectural, mechanical, and computer-assisted drafting skills with specification writing and material take-off experience
  • Knowledge of relevant Public Housing/HUD policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable building codes
Requirements
  • Advanced coursework in drafting, construction, budgeting, and construction field trades
  • Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of experience in building trades work, including administrative capacity
  • Extensive senior-level supervision and administration experience
  • Valid SC Driver's License
