Job Summary

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Wastewater Treatment Facility. The successful candidate will oversee the training and supervision of staff, maintenance of the facility, housekeeping, safety, and all regulatory compliance of the building, grounds, and treatment facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Wastewater Department, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Supervise Wastewater personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Perform tests as required to treat water properly, ensuring high-quality water output.
  • Train personnel in best practices for keeping water in compliance with City and State requirements.
  • Keep accurate records and ensure all documentation is kept up to date and accurate.
  • Take and submit water samples as required, adhering to EPA regulations.
  • Ensure all safety rules and requirements are followed, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Supervise cleaning and maintenance of wastewater and offal departments.
Requirements
  • Typically requires an Associate's Degree or completion of a Vocational/Technical specialty certification/licensure program in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience, or a year-for-year equivalent in lieu of education.
  • Proven management skills, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable compliance requirements and state and federal (EPA) regulations.
  • Must possess a minimum Class III Waste Water License or have the ability to obtain an appropriate State Certified license within twelve months of employment.
