St. Xavier Home Care Services is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to provide high-quality services to children and their families.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Specialist will work with children and their families to provide psychosocial rehabilitation, planned respite, caregiver/family advocacy and support services, and prevocational services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children's mental health, addiction, and/or foster care, and will be able to work effectively with children, families, and community resources.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychosocial rehabilitation services to children and their families to assist them in relearning, restoring, or readjusting skills, socialization, adjustment, community, and behavioral health barriers.
  • Offer planned respite services to provide short-term relief for children and caregivers, enhancing the family's primary ability to support the child's functional, developmental, and behavioral health.
  • Provide caregiver/family advocacy and support services to prevent problems in the community setting and during community transitions.
  • Deliver prevocational services to develop and teach general skills, such as communication, workplace conduct, and problem-solving.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related human services preferred.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in children's mental health, addiction, and/or foster care; or one year of experience in human services working with children/youth.
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred.
Work Schedule:

Full-time and part-time positions available; day shift with weekends as needed.

Salary:

$30.00 per hour.
