About the Position:

YAI is seeking a qualified Behavioral Intervention Specialist to support our locations in Queens. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology and experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Behavioral Intervention Specialist will work under the supervision of the Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) to provide direct support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This includes implementing treatment plans, conducting clinical assessments, and providing education and training to staff.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and staff.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including implementing treatment plans and conducting clinical assessments.

Work under the supervision of the BIS to provide education and training to staff on behavioral interventions and treatment plans.

Collaborate with the BIS to develop and implement individualized habilitative plans, including data collection and monitoring.

Provide clinical support to staff in the absence of the BIS, including providing feedback and guidance on behavioral interventions.

Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in behavioral interventions and treatment planning.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field.

At least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and staff.
