Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Respite Care Specialist to provide one-to-one direct care for children with special health care needs. As a Respite Care Specialist, you will work closely with families to develop a personalized care plan, providing relief and support to help them manage their responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and supportive one-to-one direct care for children with special health care needs, as directed by parents/caretakers.
- Develop and implement socialization opportunities within the home and/or outside of the home, promoting the child's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Perform self-care tasks as needed by the individual supported, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Provide transportation to and from social activities, as approved by parents/caretakers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, as required by the coordinator.
Requirements:
- Age 18 or older
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Compliance with state regulations and individual family qualifications
