Jeremiah Program is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping single mothers invest in themselves and achieve economic mobility. Our holistic approach provides access to higher education, affordable childcare, housing, skills training, and career development, empowering mothers to break the cycle of generational poverty.
Job SummaryThe Family Programming Coach role is a critical position within Jeremiah Program, responsible for providing transformative coaching to participants seeking to secure foundational basic needs, complete higher education, and ensure their children flourish in education and beyond. This role requires a strong understanding of the systemic barriers that affect single mothers experiencing poverty, including race, gender, and class barriers.
Key Responsibilities- Coaching: Recognize the deep humanity of Jeremiah Program participants and enable safe, judgment-free reflection. Co-develop individual goal plans to provoke self-discovery and personal growth, and engage in goal setting and meaningful action.
- Program Facilitation and Delivery: Work closely with the Family Services Director to deliver high-quality programming that is responsive and meaningful in supporting mothers in their journeys. Collaborate with Participant Council Leaders to take active roles in programming and the community.
- Program Operations: Maintain efficient, confidential, and organized records in the organizational database to ensure accurate recordkeeping. Oversee and execute the data collection strategy to inform ongoing efforts to support mothers.
- Referral Partner and New Family Cultivation Management: Create, manage, and maintain outreach and referral partner database to support strong, aligned partnerships and Jeremiah Program's role in the service ecosystem.
- Volunteer Engagement and Management: Manage high-impact family-facing volunteer initiatives, such as the Career Volunteer Mentor Program.
- BA/BS in human services, social work, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of related professional experience, ideally in social services or non-profits.
- At least two years of coaching experience, preferably with coursework or training in life, family, or executive coaching.
- Results-oriented approach to work; can be trusted to complete work timely and with quality outputs.
- Proven experience as a well-organized self-starter, able to prioritize multiple needs and expectations independently and successfully.
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $54,000 and $61,000 and are commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. Additionally, we offer medical, dental, vision, and supplemental benefits as well as retirement plans and a generous vacation package.
