Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at Olmsted Medical Center. As a key member of our Sports Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing athletic training services to our athletes, including injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the athletic director in developing and implementing athletic training programs.
  • Provide clear and effective communication with athletes, coaches, and parents regarding injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Represent Olmsted Medical Center as a professional in the community, promoting our sports medicine services and programs.
  • Stay current with sports medicine training techniques and best practices.
  • Utilize various equipment, including FMS evaluation kits, Game Ready, electric stimulation, and ultrasound machines, to provide safe and effective treatment.
  • Be present for pre-participation sports physicals and maintain accurate records of injuries and treatments.
  • Provide athletic training services for all athletic contests and act as a liaison between family physicians and specialists, the school district, athletes, and their parents.
  • Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, and provide insurance claim forms for sports injuries treated by a physician.
  • Provide the coaches with a list of athletes medically eligible to compete under district and state rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training (minimum)
  • Current board certification required
  • Current state registration or eligible
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum one year experience in the field of sports medicine
