About the Role:

As a CBRE Business Development Director, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing local and regional business marketing and development strategies. This role is part of the Sales function, responsible for designing sales solutions that are presented and sold to potential, new, and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations and coaching, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines, mentor, and coach as needed.
  • Establish and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, investment partners, and potential customers.
  • Partner with clients to gain an understanding of their business goals and objectives, work together to identify new business opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic direction toward the creation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials.
  • Set and measure operational and financial goals for client accounts, provide oversight on profit and loss, and develop budgets and forecasts.
  • Review financial reports, develop cases for budgets and reserve investments, and prioritize key initiatives. Provide recommendations to business leaders that impact a line of business.
  • Apply a robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers that impact departmental and cross-functional performance.
  • Lead by example, model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, persuade managers and colleagues to take action, and negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers.
  • Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems, leveraging resources within or outside the department.
  • Significantly improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Real Estate license required.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function.
Compensation and Benefits:

The minimum salary for the Business Development Director position is $180,000 annually, and the maximum salary is $200,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
