At Raytheon Technologies, we are seeking a highly skilled Principal Program Quality Lead to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for promoting and executing a strong quality mindset, practices, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of Mission Area strategic quality improvements across contracts. This role will be the primary Mission Assurance interface for customers and suppliers, ensuring the effective implementation of all Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs.
Responsibilities:- Be the prime Quality Assurance interface with the program, customers, and supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), responsible for guidance, leadership, and support on all matters including resourcing, technical quality and financial performance, and compliance to Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
- Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establishing effective relationships.
- Manage and impact multiple levels of stakeholders, as it is vital to the success of this role.
- Responsible for quality of delivered products and services to our customers, management of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, leadership in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.
- Develop and implement strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will affect the program's implementation and impact.
- Improve processes or systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation skills. Problems and issues faced are numerous and undefined, and information is typically difficult to obtain.
- Assure inclusion of quality requirements, planning, and consistency for program proposals and ROMs.
- Monitor/lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
- Support implementation of APQP, as applicable.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience.
- Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Working experience with performance to cost, schedule, and technical performance, including familiarity with Cost Accounting Methodologies (Earned Value Management (EVM)).
- Working experience in both production and sustainment phases of a program - with documented experience in a related production discipline in operations, engineering, or quality.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of contract flow and compliance.
- Trained/certified and competent in Quality Management Systems (i.e. American Society of Quality Certified Manager of Quality, or equivalent).
- Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
- Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certification.
- Experience with Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) or similar gate management process.
- Experience in other functional area such as engineering, supplier engineering, or operations.
- Experience establishing cost estimates and Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
- Hands-on experience in solving both business and technical problems.
- Demonstrated achievement of results in assignments.
- Possess an in-depth understanding of contract flow and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Works well with cross-functional teams at all levels.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
