The Operations Quality - Continuous Improvement team is seeking a Principal Hardware Quality Engineer with hands-on manufacturing experience to become a key part of our team.
As a Principal Hardware Quality Engineer, you will assure product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement.
You will engage/partner with MFG Defect Prevention Teams to ensure alignment on top priorities (using baseline data and future forecast) to drive containment, Root Cause Analysis, associated Corrective Action Implementation followed up verification and validation of improvements to understand effectiveness.
You will lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives (PFMEA, control Plans, SPC, etc.) Identify design supplier escapes/issues and ensure proper containment and backflow to the Supplier Quality Management team.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree (in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineering OR Advanced degree and 5 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineering.
Manufacturing process knowledge (assembly, inspection, test) is required, as well as experience in identifying root cause and initiating/implementing effective short-term and long-term corrective actions.
Experience in development/usage of Quality metrics that may be used to drive true root cause and long-term corrective action, and in the identification/institution of perceptive verifications is also required.
A S. government issued security clearance is required. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Strong familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems, Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE), Six Sigma, Shainin Red X, ASQ Certifications is preferred.
Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)/AS9145; Experience with SAP/PRISM or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Tool is also preferred.
Existing US DoD Secret (or higher) clearance is required.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
