Neonatal ICU Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Ascension Seton Hays in Kyle, Texas. As a Registered Nurse in our NICU, you will provide direct nursing care to critically ill newborns and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines, ensuring well-coordinated patient care and excellent outcomes.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring timely interventions.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date required.
- Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.
