Under the general supervision of a Program and Project Supervisor, the Senior Utilities Engineer (Specialist) is tasked with overseeing the safety and reliability of electric and communication infrastructures. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring compliance with the requirements outlined in Commission General Orders.

Work Environment

This position is specifically designated for a location within the jurisdiction. All identified locations will be considered as a single candidate pool for filling one position.

This role requires travel.

Positions at the Commission may qualify for telecommuting options under applicable government regulations for eligible applicants residing in the state, contingent upon meeting the telework eligibility criteria.

Special Qualifications

A valid California Driver's License is required. Applicants must provide details regarding their CDL on their application, including the number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements or restrictions. A Professional Engineer License is also required, and candidates will need to submit a copy of their license prior to employment.
