Job Summary

Riverland Community Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinic Operations
    • Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring a clean and sterile environment for patients.
    • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
    • Support front desk functions, including answering phones and managing patient schedules.
  • Patient Care
    • Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
    • Assist with patient exams, procedures, and treatments, as directed by dental staff.
    • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical and dental histories.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work effectively with dental staff, including dentists, hygienists, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and colleagues.
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Certificate of graduation from an accredited dental assisting school.
    • Current active registration in dental assisting in the state of Minnesota.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of infection control protocols and digital x-ray exposure techniques.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Maintain current active registration in dental assisting in the state of Minnesota.
    • Current in CPR for providers.
Work Environment

This role is performed in a clinic office environment, with possible exposure to communicable disease and medical preparations common to clinic environments.
