About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Dental Center Manager at LifeLong Medical Care. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality dental services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Operations
    • Recruit, hire, orient, develop, supervise, evaluate, and terminate staff and contractors.
    • Coordinate and oversee staff work and break/lunch schedules.
    • Approve and submit timesheets.
    • Develop, coordinate, and implement dental center daily operations and supervise all administrative departments.
    • Monitor and maintain delivery of high-quality services; continually evaluate the participants' changing needs and make necessary program adjustments.
    • Monitor compliance of participants' plan of care.
    • Ensure that Dental Department remains in compliance with HRSA and OSHA Standards.
    • Provide support to participants and family caregivers, including family education and training.
    • Maintain operating supplies and equipment service needs.
    • Monitor clinical productivity and no-show rates of patients.
    • Responsible for compiling clinical productivity data as outlined in the Dental Dashboard.
  • Administration, Compliance & Budget
    • Work with Dental Director and Dental Operations Manager on the annual Dental budget within the framework of LifeLong's financial systems.
    • Develop program activities within budget parameters, managing income and expenses to ensure both program quality and the financial health of the Dental clinical.
    • Ensure compliance with LifeLong policies and all relevant regulations, including Title 22, Medi-Cal, the local health department, etc.
    • Maintain records for and completes all necessary reporting to county & state agencies, Medi-Cal, the Veteran's Administration, other public or private funding sources, and LifeLong administration.
    • Monitor changes in Medi-Cal and other state requirements and recommend changes to LifeLong policies to comply. Develop and update Dental Policy & Procedures manual, Inform staff, participants, and caregivers about Dental policies.
    • Participate in long-term program planning; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve strategic goals.
  • Community Relations and Coordination, Outreach and Marketing
    • Function as a liaison to other community organizations. Actively engage program volunteers, committee members, board members, partnering organizations, and funders to build community support.
    • Assist with marketing and outreach efforts, including community presentations and educational events.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    • Ability to effectively present information to others, including other employees, community partners, and vendors.
    • Ability to work with individuals and organizations at the local level to build support.
    • Ability to seek direction/approval from on essential matters, yet work independently with little onsite supervision, using professional judgment and diplomacy.
    • Work in a team-oriented environment with a number of professionals with different work styles and support needs.
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills and ability to effectively work with people from diverse backgrounds and be culturally sensitive.
    • Commitment to the provision of primary care services for the underserved with demonstrated ability and sensitivity in working with a variety of people from low-income populations, with diverse educational, lifestyle, ethnic, and cultural origins.
    • Conduct oneself in external settings in a way that reflects positively on LifeLong Medical Care as an organization of professional, confident, and sensitive staff.

    Requirements
    • Associate's Degree.
    • Registered Dental Assistant Licensure required.
    • Three years' experience managing dental front and back office operations, including staff supervision.
    • Knowledge of dental insurances and compliance with operating regulations.
    • Experience managing budgets, data, and producing reporting.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred.
    • Registered Dental Assistant Licensure required.
    • Non-profit or community health experience a plus.
