Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to join our team at S. Clyde Weaver. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for supporting the manager with daily retail operations, including supervising employees, working with customers, and helping maintain operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist manager in providing a strong leadership presence and ensuring excellent customer service and quality merchandise.
  • Supervise all aspects of daily retail operations, including case set-up/display, opening or closing procedures, handling of money, product quality, staffing, and more.
  • Provide leadership for employees as it relates to training, disciplinary action, job responsibilities, conflict resolution, product knowledge, and fulfillment of daily retail expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through daily completion of operational checklists.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure the work area is safe, functional, and presentable.
  • Greet and assist customers, modeling the S. Clyde Weaver way to excellent customer service.
  • Ensure company dress code standards are met at all times.
  • Assist managers in delivering consistent, in-the-moment feedback and coaching.
  • Act in the role of a manager in the manager's absence.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and security.
  • Perform all duties as directed by manager.
  • Ensure that team members provide exceptional customer service.
  • Consistently create a welcoming environment for the customer by greeting and assisting, as well as quickly responding to customer inquiries and needs.
  • Respond to requests and resolve customer service issues by following company protocol.
  • Provide resources and training to retail staff on sanitation practices.
  • Help managers in identifying training needs and providing ongoing training opportunities to the team as needed.
  • Provide primary leadership in training new staff.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (college/university degree helpful but not required).
  • 2-5 years' experience in retail food management.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be an excellent organizer and problem solver with strong project management skills.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence to both internal and external customers.
  • ServSafe Certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
