Job Title: Director, Global Government Relations & Partnerships

Cloudflare Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Global Government Relations & Partnerships to join our Public Policy team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with governments, developing and executing a government relations plan, and advancing Cloudflare's business interests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Public Policy team to build and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders
  • Liaise with internal teams to collaborate on priorities and provide advice and recommendations on strategic decisions
  • Advance Cloudflare's business interests by facilitating conversations with government CIOs, CISOs, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Develop a strategy to build a Public Sector Advisory Council to support strategic business objectives
  • Identify relevant external events and forums to engage with public sector leaders and expand public sector market access
  • Manage and direct external consultancies, lobbyists, and trade associations as appropriate to address business needs
  • Engage with policymakers on authorization and appropriations processes in support of business interests
Requirements:
  • University degree
  • 12+ years of experience working with the public sector on tech-related issues
  • An existing network of relevant government, academic, and industry contacts
  • Good understanding of government procurement and appropriations processes, as well as Cloudflare's products
  • Track record of supporting sales teams and building strategic partnerships
  • Fluency/interest in technology
  • Strong communications (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Team player, and a sense of humor
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and a sense of initiative
  • The ability to manage multiple issues and engage with a range of teams within Cloudflare
