Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a crucial role in steering the financial direction of our organization. This executive position is responsible for enhancing financial value and guiding strategic financial decisions, encompassing financial operations, risk management, legal, and human resources activities to create competitive advantages.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Financial Leadership:
    • Work alongside the CEO and senior leadership to integrate value-driven finance into strategic planning.
    • Formulate and implement financial strategies that align with the organization’s goals.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting.
  2. Management of Financial Operations:
    • Supervise all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and treasury functions.
    • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  3. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
    • Deliver timely and precise financial analysis and reports to support organizational decision-making.
    • Evaluate financial performance and key metrics to uncover improvement opportunities and mitigate risks.
  4. Capital Management:
    • Oversee capital structure and investment strategies to maximize returns and minimize financial risks.
    • Evaluate investment opportunities and provide strategic recommendations.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks to protect the organization’s assets.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  6. Team Development:
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to finance and HR teams, promoting a culture of excellence.
    • Support the professional growth of finance and HR personnel.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the CEO and board, to enhance financial performance.
    • Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders to ensure transparency and trust.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in financial management and strategic planning, ideally within the technology sector.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in interpreting complex financial data.
  • Experience in implementing frameworks for unit economics in a SaaS business model.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with foresight to address future trends and challenges.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and software, particularly ERP and BI tools.
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • A collaborative approach in a dynamic work environment.
