Position Overview:
Touro University New York is seeking qualified candidates for a faculty role at the rank of Professor in the Department of Social and Administrative Pharmacy. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape of our Doctor of Pharmacy program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching: The primary focus will be on the coordination and delivery of courses related to health systems, pharmacy management, pharmacoeconomics, and epidemiology. The ideal candidate will have the capability to design and instruct graduate-level courses in these areas.
- Research: Candidates are expected to establish and sustain a robust, externally funded research agenda. Contributions to the department's research initiatives should encompass various domains, including health services research, pharmacoepidemiology, and the sociobehavioral dimensions of patient care and health outcomes.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- A Doctor of Pharmacy degree is mandatory.
- Preferred candidates will possess a pharmacy degree along with a doctorate in social and administrative pharmacy or a related discipline, coupled with a minimum of seven years of academic experience.
- Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with a commitment to student-focused education.
- High interpersonal skills, including professionalism, diplomacy, judgment, and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift items weighing up to 5 lbs.
Compensation:
Maximum Salary: USD $85,000.00/Yr.
Minimum Salary: USD $68,000.00/Yr.
