Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is seeking a Technical Support Specialist for HVAC Systems.

Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role is pivotal in delivering expert technical assistance to contractors involved in the specification, installation, operation, or maintenance of Mitsubishi HVAC products. The Specialist will collaborate with Service Managers and Supervisors to address intricate challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and resolving both standard and complex technical issues related to HVAC systems.
  • Offering technical guidance through phone and email to a diverse customer base.
  • Disseminating technical knowledge to a network of Diamond Service Group members via various communication channels.
  • Interpreting wiring schematics and refrigerant circuit diagrams to effectively communicate with clients.
  • Understanding and explaining fundamental concepts such as AC/DC theory, inductance, and digital communications.
  • Providing assistance to Mitsubishi field personnel, including Service Managers and Sales staff as required.
  • Keeping technical documentation up to date.
  • Supporting the Customer Care Center with technical inquiries.
  • Assisting in product rework, including software updates on equipment when necessary.
  • Gaining familiarity with essential accessories for M and P series equipment.
  • Acquiring knowledge of internal METUS programs, including DSG, DET, and DC programs.
  • Successfully completing the 90-day TSA assessment.
  • Testing new service-related tools.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% for company meetings and training sessions.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Two (2) years of HVAC technical education from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of field experience.
  • NATE Certification is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook (Email).
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are advantageous.
  • A collaborative team player embodying METUS core values, including a commitment to excellence, sustainability, execution, and continuous learning.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The expected base pay range for this position is between $25.00 and $34.38 per hour, with variations based on individual factors such as market location, relevant experience, and skills.

The total compensation package may include additional elements such as target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Eligible employees can enroll in a 401(k) plan and participate in company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for themselves and their dependents. Employees are entitled to 80 hours of vacation annually, 56 hours of paid sick leave, and 13 paid holidays throughout the year, depending on the hire date. Additionally, eligible employees may take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid leave for various reasons.
