Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing office correspondence, including responding to emails and phone calls, and participating in team meetings.
  • Utilize our case management software to draft Settlement Memos and review figures for settlement conferences with clients.
  • Verify balances on recent bills from medical providers and ensure accurate confirmation of file costs.
  • Coordinate negotiations with medical providers for reductions and scrutinize the Final Settlement Breakdown for accuracy.
  • Request settlement checks promptly when necessary and schedule Settlement Appointments with clients as required.
  • Aid in completing tasks efficiently to facilitate the closure of files and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in administrative or customer service roles, particularly in personal injury law firms, insurance billing, accounts payable and receivable, or as an insurance adjuster.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple spreadsheets and experience in data reporting are essential skills for this role.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 is a prerequisite, and a background in accounting is highly preferred.
  • Strong math skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are critical attributes for this position.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently are fundamental requirements.
