Settlement Disbursal Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Settlement Disbursal Coordinator to join our team at Atlanta Personal Injury Law Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in guiding clients through the settlement process, ensuring they receive their settlement funds in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage office correspondence, including responding to emails and phone calls, participating in team meetings, and supporting the team's needs.
• Utilize case management software to generate Settlement Memos, reviewing figures for settlement conferences on behalf of clients.
• Verify balances on recent bills from medical providers and confirm all file expenses accurately.
• Coordinate and negotiate potential reductions with medical providers.
• Review Final Settlement Breakdowns meticulously and verify all involved providers.
• Initiate requests for Settlement checks as necessary.
• Organize and attend Settlement Appointments with clients as scheduled.
• Assist in closing files efficiently and deliver outstanding customer service to our clients consistently.
• Collaborate closely with the attorney, team members, and controller.

Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required for this position.
• Preferably, candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting.
• Candidates should have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative or customer service roles, with a preference for experience in personal injury law firms, insurance billing, accounts payable and receivable, or as an insurance adjuster.
• Working knowledge of multiple spreadsheets is essential.
• Proficiency with Office 365 is required.
• Candidates with a background in accounting are preferred.
• Strong math skills are a must for this role.
• The ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
• Attention to detail is a key requirement.
• Experience with the case manager software 'GrowPath' is preferred.
• Notary certification is a plus.
• Being a team player is important for success in this role.
