Culinary Leadership Opportunity:
Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago seeks an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to staff in the kitchen. This includes developing and implementing menu plans, managing food preparation and presentation, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for career growth and advancement, and a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate kitchen staff to achieve high levels of productivity and quality
Develop and implement menu plans that meet customer demand and align with company goals
Manage food preparation and presentation to ensure exceptional customer service
Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor expenses
Requirements:
Associate degree (A.A.) in Culinary or related field, and minimum two (2) years of culinary experience required
Minimum one (1) year of previous supervisory experience required
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
