Job Summary

The Finance Department at SNO-ISLE REGIONAL LIBRARY SYSTEM is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contracting Expert to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and contracting, with experience in managing complex contracts and procurement processes. They will be responsible for providing guidance and training to library staff on procurement best practices, preparing requests for proposals, and developing solicitation strategies.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including library staff, vendors, and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and training to library staff on procurement best practices
  • Prepare requests for proposals and develop solicitation strategies
  • Develop and implement procedures for the selection of construction and maintenance of public works/capital improvement projects
  • Remain current on federal, state, and local procurement and contracting legislation and review and update policies and procedures as appropriate
  • Assist departments with negotiating and documenting contract change orders
Requirements
  • Four years of progressive responsibility in contract administration
  • Thorough knowledge of business practices, project terms, financial terms, procurement processes and principles
  • Knowledge and experience with working in a facilities and construction environment
  • Ability to work, plan, organize and prioritize independently with minimum supervision and direction
