Position: Warehouse Technician (Driving)

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for managing order processing, preparing items for dispatch, and receiving incoming stock. This role also includes cleaning and sanitizing returned equipment, maintaining cleanliness in storage areas, organizing inventory, and ensuring proper inventory management. The technician will assist supervisors in loading equipment for delivery and may be required to assemble equipment as needed. Adherence to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations is critical in this position. Additionally, employees may be tasked with delivering equipment to patients or healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data entry in relevant systems, update shipping details, and monitor order statuses.
  • Perform clerical duties such as faxing, scanning, filing, and handling phone inquiries.
  • Prepare shipping containers and generate labels in advance.
  • Review customer orders, locate, and assemble outgoing products to meet requests.
  • Verify the contents of outgoing shipments against invoices or bills of lading.
  • Receive and unpack merchandise shipments, process packing slips or invoices, and store items securely.
  • Document returned items and sanitize equipment in accordance with maintenance guidelines.
  • Maintain knowledge of and consistently follow procedures for using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), infection control, and handling hazardous materials.
  • Regularly clean the warehouse in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), dispose of waste daily, and uphold a tidy work environment.
  • Assist in inventory stocking, tracking, and replenishment.
  • Collect and transport packages to the shipping area.
  • Communicate actual and potential stock shortages to the warehouse manager promptly to ensure sufficient inventory levels.
  • Monitor expiration dates to ensure compliance with company guidelines for returns or re-inventory.
  • When required, deliver equipment:
  • Adhere to driving policies and complete necessary driver training.
  • Educate customers on the proper use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment.
  • Complete written reports following patient setup and follow-up visits as necessary.
  • Assist with customer equipment issues during emergencies.
  • Process all orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct patient assessments and re-assessments for care purposes.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as per company policies.
  • Report equipment hazards or product incidents as required by company procedures.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities outside of regular business hours in accordance with company policy.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and operate within HIPAA guidelines.
  • Complete required compliance training and other educational programs.
  • Adhere to AdaptHealth's Compliance Program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in construction, general manual labor, military service, or equipment repair/maintenance is preferred.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license in the state of residence.
  • Senior level candidates should have two (2) years of relevant work experience and one (1) year of direct job experience.
