Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist at Stroudsmoor Country Inn plays a crucial role in managing the daily engineering functions within the establishment. This role encompasses project oversight, general safety compliance, procurement, and collaboration with service providers. The Maintenance Technician is tasked with executing preventative maintenance and repairs across hotel rooms, communal areas, equipment, structures, and outdoor spaces.

**Availability for all weekends and holidays is mandatory**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and carry out basic repairs on various equipment, including pump and motor replacements.
  • Manage plumbing responsibilities such as clearing blockages and unclogging drains.
  • Execute fundamental repairs on electrical devices, including lamp, switch, and outlet replacements.
  • Perform cosmetic fixes on guestroom amenities, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, and similar equipment.
  • Relay daily tasks and issues to subsequent shifts using established communication protocols.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely and promptly, in line with safety regulations and efficient equipment use.
  • Maintain familiarity with departmental safety guidelines and participate in required safety training sessions.
  • Keep accurate service records.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Undertake additional duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in hospitality, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications in HVAC and/or Electrical trades are highly advantageous.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, with heavier items requiring assistance.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including database management, internet software, order processing systems, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Basic tools for performing essential repairs are required.
