Job Summary:

Lumos Networks is seeking a skilled Network Operations Technician I to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing voice, data, and video services on copper and fiber networks. You will work closely with our operations team to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve customer-impacting issues. Additionally, you will operate, maintain, troubleshoot, install, and repair Central Office, Remote Office, Remote Nodes, and colocation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair voice, data, and video services on copper and fiber networks.
• Work with operations technicians to troubleshoot, isolate, and resolve customer-impacting issues.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, install, and repair Central Office, Remote Office, Remote Nodes, and colocation equipment.
• Perform OTDR traces and fiber characterization.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager, including serving as In-Charge when Manager is out of the office.

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent & relevant electronics background. Associates degree in electronics and/or networking preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in Telecommunications field or equivalent education and certification.
