Job Overview

Objective:
As a Field Sales Consultant, your primary role will be to market food and non-food products to both new and established clients. You will take charge of acquiring and nurturing new clientele, meeting sales and profit margin targets, and overseeing all facets of the business relationship between Honor Foods and its customers. Additionally, you will step in for customers when their designated territory manager is unavailable due to personal reasons and may collaborate with another Territory Manager for mentorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and expand existing customer connections to optimize profitable sales.
  • Generate new business opportunities by identifying potential clients through business directories, leads, associations, clubs, and trade exhibitions.
  • Analyze customer requirements and suggest products and services that align with those needs.
  • Deliver product knowledge and training to clients.
  • Coordinate delivery timelines and resolve order-related issues.
  • Engage in sales meetings, food exhibitions, and promotional initiatives.
  • Assist with accounts receivable in partnership with the credit department.
  • Stay updated on market trends, product advancements, and competitors' offerings.
  • Conduct administrative tasks such as preparing sales forecasts and reports, maintaining sales documentation, and processing credits and pick-up requests.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor's degree in business or marketing is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years of sales experience is preferred, particularly in the food service sector.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, presentation, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Public Interaction:
Must engage courteously and tactfully with managers, colleagues, clients, and vendors to positively influence productivity and morale.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
