Job OverviewPosition Summary

SAIC is in search of a skilled and motivated Systems Integration Engineer to contribute to the enhancement of space launch facilities, ensuring mission objectives are met while providing essential range functionalities and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) initiative. The primary goal of this program is to execute system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives that will facilitate an increased frequency of space launches, paving the way for the Spaceport of the future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates the coherent and methodical translation of requirements into comprehensive systems solutions that consider technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints.
  • Conducts functional assessments, timeline evaluations, requirements distribution, and interface definition analyses to convert requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Delivers precise and detailed insights for the selection and implementation of techniques and tools that provide the most effective solutions to fulfill business needs, encompassing current and future capacity demands, facility specifications (including layout, power, cooling, and network connectivity), data storage, backup solutions, monitoring systems, operational systems, directory services, identity management, access control, and automation.
Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field with five (5) years of relevant IT systems engineering experience, or a Master's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical field with three (3) years of relevant IT systems engineering experience.

Security Clearance:

Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
