We are currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our Facilities Management team.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package that aligns with our mission and values. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $25.89 to $30.43, depending on experience.
Role Responsibilities: The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will ensure the upkeep and functionality of SOME, Inc.'s facilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to maintenance requests and performing routine repairs.
- Conducting repairs in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry areas.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
Essential: 1-3 years of experience in facilities management within multi-site housing or residential settings. Must have reliable transportation for travel to various work sites (mileage reimbursement available).
Required License/Certification: A valid Driver's License and personal vehicle insurance are necessary. (Mileage reimbursement is provided).
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM (40 hours per week).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient understanding of electrical systems, preventive maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, and general repair techniques.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with landscaping and painting practices.
- Awareness of safety protocols related to maintenance activities and the use of relevant equipment and chemicals.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to utilize personal tools for work assignments and transport them to job sites.
- Capability to troubleshoot plumbing issues and perform general maintenance tasks.
- Experience with common power tools, hand tools, and maintenance equipment.
Physical Requirements:
The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing. Work may occur outdoors in varying weather conditions. Reliable transportation and personal tools are necessary for this position.
