Role Summary:

The Ecommerce Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the online auction production workflow, ensuring the achievement of ecommerce production and sales objectives. This role involves managing the selection process through to listing, ensuring that all items are received and processed correctly. The Ecommerce Operations Manager plays a key role in leading an ecommerce team, focusing on production, while collaborating with management to maintain a safe and organized workspace, meeting monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales targets.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education: College degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years in appraisals
  • 3 to 5 years in a leadership capacity

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

International Society of Appraisers Accreditation

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Accountable for production targets, organization of the ecommerce production area, staffing, and training of selection, production, and ecommerce ambassador teams.
  • Model and instruct appropriate work behaviors.
  • Protect company assets, including donated items, and report any incidents of theft or misappropriation.
  • Receive and categorize donations, selecting items suitable for online sales.
  • Assess the need for selection donations and maintain adequate listing levels.
  • Provide training on proper selection and handling procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with ecommerce labeling and security protocols.
  • Monitor the selection material chain of custody and report issues to the ecommerce manager.
  • Evaluate donations for suitability for the ecommerce platform.

Management Duties:

  • Supervise ecommerce staff and oversee the selection and processing of donated materials.
  • Responsible for ecommerce revenue goals and budget management.
  • Ensure adherence to policies outlined in the Ecommerce Manual and Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain accurate accounting of all ecommerce revenue.
  • Foster positive customer and employee relations by upholding high service standards.
  • Train staff on selecting responsibilities and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with management for merchandise pickup and delivery.
  • Assist in performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee daily operations in the absence of the ecommerce general manager.

Other Duties:

Additional responsibilities as assigned. May require travel to other locations as needed.

Supervisory Authority:

This position involves managing at least two or more full-time employees, with direct reports including 10-40 Ecommerce Associates, Assistant Store Managers, and Team Leads.
