Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an accomplished and driven leader to head the System Validation team within our Solid-State Drive (SSD) division. In this capacity, you will manage the complete validation lifecycle of SSD systems, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards of quality, performance, and dependability. You will lead a team of engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to shape and implement the validation strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Development:
    • Guide, mentor, and cultivate a team of validation engineers.
    • Establish and execute validation strategies and methodologies.
    • Collaborate with product development, firmware, hardware, and quality assurance teams to guarantee comprehensive validation coverage.
  2. Validation Strategy and Implementation:
    • Create detailed validation plans, including test cases, scripts, and schedules.
    • Supervise the execution of system-level validation tests for SSD products.
    • Ensure thorough validation of SSD performance, endurance, compatibility, and reliability.
  3. Quality Management:
    • Develop and maintain validation metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Analyze validation outcomes, identify challenges, and drive corrective measures.
    • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  4. Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
    • Work with design, firmware, hardware, and software teams to address validation challenges.
    • Engage in design reviews and provide insights from a validation standpoint.
    • Communicate validation progress and challenges to stakeholders and management.
  5. Continuous Development:
    • Stay informed about the latest advancements in SSD technology and validation methodologies.
    • Implement process enhancements to improve validation efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Encourage a culture of ongoing learning and innovation within the validation team.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • In-depth knowledge of SSD technology, architecture, and industry standards.
    • Expertise in validation methodologies, tools, and automation frameworks.
    • Experience with performance benchmarking, stress testing, and failure analysis.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with NVMe, SATA, and other storage protocols.
  • Familiarity with firmware and software development processes.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) and automation tools.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years in system validation, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
