Group/Division

With over 40 years of experience in semiconductor process control, chipmakers worldwide depend on KLA to ensure that their fabs efficiently ramp next-generation devices to volume production.

Driving the shift towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG) is responsible for developing all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, seeking the brightest research scientists, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The RAPID division leads the industry in providing reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor sector.

The company delivers inspection solutions to both mask shops and semiconductor fabs to maintain consistently high lithography yields, enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities/Preferred Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
The individual will be tasked with developing concepts and designs for next-generation systems:
- Analyzing datapath requirements
- Designing datapath architecture
- Representing Electrical Engineering in subsystem architecture and design reviews
- Defining interfaces with other critical subsystems

These responsibilities will necessitate collaboration with other engineering groups, including Mechanical, Optical, Software, Systems, and Manufacturing engineers, to ensure thorough integration and testing at both the subsystem and system levels.

The successful candidate will oversee the entire design process, encompassing requirements specification, feasibility studies, cost and scheduling, conducting various analyses such as circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, electrical loads, and FPGA modeling, as well as conceptual and detailed design using design tools (OrCAD, PSpice, Xilinx FPGA development systems, etc.), detailed drawings, design review presentations, procurement of prototype parts, system integration, prototype testing, and transition to manufacturing.



Qualifications:


The ideal candidate is expected to be self-motivated, independent, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with our accomplished engineering team.

The candidate should have a strong foundation in:
- Low noise linear analog circuitry and characteristics of analog components
- CCD sensors and image acquisition
- Understanding capabilities and coding techniques of advanced FPGA devices
- Proficiency with electronics laboratory equipment
Minimum

Minimum Qualifications:


Doctorate (Academic) Degree with 5 years of related work experience; Master's Level Degree with 8 years of related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree with 12 years of related work experience.
