Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Administration of Justice to join our faculty at Allan Hancock College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including those listed in the Administration of Justice course offerings in the college catalog.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach at least 5 of the courses listed in the Administration of Justice course offerings in the college catalog.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets to requisition and receive supplies and materials.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing within a multi-cultural and diverse working environment.
  • Design curriculum and use contemporary technology to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • Work with and assist people with a broad range of skills, motivation, and academic or vocational interests and goals.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in any discipline, and two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of this assignment.
  • OR an associate degree in any discipline, and six years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of this assignment.
  • OR the equivalent as outlined in Board Policy 7211.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A master's degree in any discipline and experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of this assignment.
  • Evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and community college students and of staff and students with disabilities.
What We Offer

The hiring salary range is $57,858 to $82,391 dependent upon education and experience. To be considered for this position, the candidate must submit the following application materials through our career site:
