About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Safety Specialist to join our team at Reid Health. As a Patient Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one companionship and supervision with patients via the MedSitter technology.
  • Proactively redirect patients via MedSitter technology to prevent potential safety issues.
  • Notify leadership and care team of any patients failing the MedSitter program.
  • Monitor and respond to Staff Assist Alarms in a timely manner.
  • Communicate escalated patient behavior to the bedside care team in a timely manner.
  • Provide feedback to the RN regarding patient care and report changes in patient status.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work night shifts (6:00pm - 6:15am)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
