Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at BrightSpring Health Services. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders based on physician orders/referrals.
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures.
  • Review patient records for current diagnosis, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications.
  • Establish measurable goals and develop treatment plans to move patients toward their maximum level of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
  • Regularly reassess the effectiveness of treatment plans, progress toward goals, and the need for modifying goals or treatment.
  • Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services, family members, as applicable.
  • Consult with medical providers regarding patient evaluation and treatment, progress, and discharge from treatment.
  • Maintain and submit evaluation, treatment, and billing documentation in the format and timeframes required by the company, facility, funding source, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Adhere to standards of the company's Code of Business Conduct, policies, Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act, and Corporate Compliance programs, and appropriate professional practice standards and applicable state/federal laws.
  • Attend, participate in, and/or conduct internal staff development programs and meetings; obtain continuing education as required by company policy and regulations; maintain and enhance clinical practice skills.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
  • Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing.
  • Current Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification in accordance with state regulations.
  • A minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions.
  • Demonstrates strong organization skills and attention to detail.
