Position Title:
Fitness Operations Manager

Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in attracting new members - required.

Ability to foster a supportive team atmosphere - required.

Strong leadership capabilities - required.

Minimum of 3 years in fitness management - required.

Innovative management strategies - required.

Experience in Group Fitness and Personal Training - preferred.

Familiarity with ABC systems - preferred.

Sales/Revenue Oversight

Understand the metrics and devise a strategy... set daily performance targets for the team (leads, appointments, sales, referrals, and collections).

Implement the strategy and ensure team accountability... conduct daily performance discussions with leadership and regular team meetings.

Onboard new staff following the MSR Essentials program and conduct performance evaluations at 30/60/90 days and annually using in-club tools.

Be the go-to expert for in-club analytics.

Lead the monthly marketing initiatives.

Personal Training/Revenue Oversight

Proven track record in developing the Personal Training sector.

Experience in recruiting and mentoring personal training staff.

Ability to manage the PT department's operational framework – Understand the metrics, set objectives, and ensure team accountability.

Ensure the Personal Training team adheres to proper session protocols.

Supervise the PT manager to ensure all departmental goals are met.

Administration/Organization

Address member concerns promptly and tactfully, following club protocols and documentation.

Foster a professional and inviting atmosphere that enhances service quality and member care.

Ensure the facility meets cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security standards.

Conduct daily inspections of the facility with the Maintenance Manager using a cleaning checklist and communicate findings to the appropriate staff.


Ensure visible maintenance issues are addressed swiftly, proper signage is displayed, and if feasible, out-of-service equipment is removed from the floor.

Emphasize to staff that cleanliness is a collective responsibility, not solely that of the maintenance team.

Maintain an adequate inventory of maintenance supplies.

Track the completion of opening/closing checklists, stage management, repair & maintenance logs, locker logs, and cleaning checklists.

Assist in the processing and approval of payroll.
