About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join our Total Rewards Finance team at Microsoft Corporation. As a trusted advisor to the business, you will play a critical role in providing controllership support for the Global Compensation and Benefits team in HR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to inform business decisions and support forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Drive financial analysis to ensure clear financial levers for executive decision-making related to the annual Salary and Benefits Planning Process.
  • Build and maintain trusted business partnerships with leaders through deep understanding of their business and proactive financial management.
  • Leverage new techniques, tools, and technology to drive forecast accuracy improvements for US Benefits.
  • Lead key rhythms of business for the team, including planning, budgeting, close, and forecast.
  • Own company-wide cost pool allocations, including planning of annual rate changes and ensuring rates are updated in our systems properly.
  • Analyze and present executive-quality financial results performance to leadership teams in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ensure financial results are stated accurately and in accordance with accounting policy, and implement new financial processes as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field, and 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance.
  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field, and 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance.
  • OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field, and 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience.
  • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field, and 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in a matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • Experience with data visualization, AI, or Machine Learning technologies or tools.
Compensation and Benefits
