Role Overview:

  • Formulate and execute the vision, mission, and strategic objectives for the Procurement Center of Excellence.

  • Establish and disseminate procurement policies, standards, and best practices throughout the organization.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to refine procurement processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the design and implementation of procurement processes, tools, and technologies to ensure efficient and effective procurement operations.
  • Guarantee adherence to procurement policies, regulations, and standards.
  • Evaluate and analyze procurement performance metrics and KPIs to pinpoint areas for enhancement and enact corrective measures.
  • Foster and maintain robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and key business partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with broader business objectives and ensure effective procurement support across various departments.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on procurement-related issues.
  • Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing procurement team, promoting a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous development.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the procurement team.
  • Encourage a collaborative and inclusive workplace environment.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in procurement to drive innovation and ongoing improvement.
  • Lead initiatives to adopt new procurement technologies and digital solutions to boost procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote the adoption of sustainable and ethical procurement practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective procurement strategies and driving operational excellence.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with procurement software and digital tools.
  • Understanding of compliance in procurement.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is advantageous.
