Job Overview:
Kent ISD seeks an experienced Autism Education Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in special education, with a focus on autism spectrum disorders.

Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities:
The Autism Education Specialist will be responsible for providing specially designed instruction to students with autism in a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student
  • Providing direct instruction and support to students in academic, communication, social, and community skills
  • Collaborating with other educators and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Evaluating student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the Autism Education Specialist must possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Special education certification with ASD endorsement
  • Experience working with students with autism and other special needs
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based assessment, instruction, and intervention practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
