Event Sales Manager

The Caboose Hudson is seeking a skilled Event Sales Manager to drive revenue and manage client relationships. Key responsibilities include developing a comprehensive sales strategy, identifying and cultivating relationships with potential clients, and ensuring exceptional event execution.

Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to attract new clients and secure high-end events.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, event planners, and corporate contacts.
  • Conduct tours of The Caboose Hudson and deliver engaging presentations to prospective clients.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all prospective and current clients, guiding them through the booking process.
  • Provide personalized service to clients, ensuring their vision for the event aligns with The Caboose Hudson's capabilities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with repeat clients and local partners to drive long-term business opportunities.

Event Coordination:

  • Collaborate with clients to customize event packages, including catering, décor, and technical services.
  • Work closely with the operations and event planning teams to ensure flawless execution of booked events.
  • Oversee event contracts, invoicing, and payment schedules to ensure all details are accurate and up to date.

Marketing & Promotion:

  • Partner with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that target the high-end event market.
  • Attend industry events, bridal shows, and networking opportunities to represent The Caboose Hudson and generate leads.
  • Manage online and offline presence, including maintaining a portfolio of past events to showcase the venue's versatility.

Financial Management:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets by maximizing bookings and upselling additional services.
  • Monitor event budgets and ensure profitability by negotiating contracts, controlling costs, and managing vendor relationships.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitors in the Hudson Valley and beyond.
  • Regularly analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and adjust strategies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience in event sales, with a focus on luxury or high-end venues.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in the events or hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and close deals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and events simultaneously.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that might include nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of Hudson, NY and the surrounding areas is a plus.
