In-Plant Service Center Manager

Job Summary:

S and S Supplies & Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Service Center Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our In-Plant Service Centers, ensuring that all operations are performed and managed in accordance with our company's programs, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Manage all activities associated with assigned operations, including developing performance metrics, evaluating performance, and reporting to management.
  • Leadership and Communication: Ensure that production, quality, and safety goals are communicated to employees, and that they understand their roles in meeting or exceeding those goals.
  • Employee Development: Provide effective counsel, especially where corrective actions are needed, and manage the use of facilities, personnel, vehicles, and equipment to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Inventory and Asset Management: Proactively manage assigned inventory and asset availability to satisfy customer needs and demands.
  • Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management: Proactively manage quality, safety, and environmental issues, and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Company standards.
  • Customer Service: Work with Sales, Customer Service, and other internal departments to communicate and resolve customer concerns in a timely manner.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely documentation, including billing, compliance, customer communication, and satisfaction reports.
  • Human Resources: Partner with human resources for hiring and firing, performance evaluation, salary, and job change actions.
  • Training and Development: Develop departmental training priorities and related budgets, and ensure that training programs are being utilized.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Manage a Preventive Maintenance Program and repair facility for Total Safety and out-sourced equipment.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Develop short and long-term forecasts, departmental goals, and objectives in areas including staffing, equipment needs, problem prevention, and corrective action program.
  • Process Improvement: Work with others to develop new and/or improved procedures, processes, and work standards for operational units.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Five (5) years of progressive experience in petrochemical and/or refinery operations or industrial safety equipment industry.
  • Managerial Experience: Two (2) years of managerial experience.
  • Skills: Experience in Fire Protection Services, Respiratory Protection, and Gas Detection is preferred.

Working Environment:

The Plant Service Center Supervisor will work in a combination of office and field/production environments, with some exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, outside and extreme weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and high elevations. Travel to and from customer sites is required.
