Overview

The Director of Human Resource Systems will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the effective operation of the organization's internal HR information services systems. This role encompasses database management, network support, installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrades of applications, systems, and modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership and HR personnel to identify necessary enhancements to existing information services and databases, recommending and implementing effective solutions.
  • Manage user permissions, access, personalization, and other system operations for HR services users.
  • Develop custom functions and documentation, including automated queries, filters, macros, and reports. Assist in the acquisition of complex data reports and summaries requested by senior executives and HR staff.
  • Act as the primary liaison between HR, Information Services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HR database design and implementation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
  • Oversee the procurement of necessary hardware and software to maintain high-quality, efficient systems.
  • Facilitate the transition to a unified HRIS.
  • Implement and maintain payroll processing systems to guarantee timely and accurate payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, and deductions.
  • Prepare and maintain precise records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices.
  • Support audits by providing necessary records and documentation to auditors, recommending updates to payroll processing software and procedures.
  • Ensure operational excellence within the department, delivering quality services in line with applicable policies and standards.
  • Manage team members, including their orientation, development, and performance evaluation, while participating in the recruitment and selection process.
  • Oversee the fiscal management of the department, ensuring proper utilization of financial resources.
  • Effectively communicate departmental and organizational information to staff.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree is required.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in HRIS systems is required, along with 2 years of leadership experience. Previous involvement in systems integration and process redesign projects is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

Must maintain knowledge of trends and developments in data management, security, HR technology, and HRIS applications.
