Role Overview

As the Aztec Retail Operations Leader, you will spearhead and facilitate all initiatives aimed at achieving store performance goals, exemplifying an unparalleled service ethos. Your role will encompass maintaining high standards in operations, compliance with loss prevention protocols, human resources oversight, and visual merchandising excellence. You will be a charismatic and motivating leader with a robust background in fostering relationships with both external and internal stakeholders. In this capacity, you will embody the brand's values as an Aztec Ambassador, championing the brand's mission and vision within the retail landscape.

Core Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

Enhance and optimize sales outcomes to consistently meet overall financial targets while ensuring operational integrity and tracking monthly profitability;

Evaluate monthly store performance and report on current trends, covering all facets of the business, including competitor analysis;

Exhibit sales leadership by actively engaging with customers on the sales floor, ensuring exceptional service levels and meeting annual evaluation goals;

Oversee stock management through direct collaboration with key business units to maximize full-price sales, ensuring high sell-through rates and alignment with new product introductions;

Educate all team members on current collections to ensure comprehensive understanding of brand principles and seasonal strategies, collaborating with relevant internal departments for product support;

Communicate established KPIs and devise strategies to ensure performance benchmarks are achieved;

Develop and execute business action plans in partnership with the Market Director to boost sales across product categories and client segments;

Lead the team in building relationships and proposing local events through ongoing networking and supporting product launches that drive high client engagement and robust sales outcomes;

Stay informed on competitor activities, fashion trends, industry developments, and technological innovations.

Performance and Talent Development

Conduct regular coaching sessions with team members to assess performance and provide constructive feedback;

Oversee the performance evaluation process for all store personnel and set clear objectives;

Identify and formulate action plans, creating development pathways for all employees;

Attract, recruit, and retain a high-performing team while building a talent pipeline through networking and market research;

Ensure a consistent and branded onboarding experience for all new hires;

Manage staff resource allocation and scheduling to effectively drive sales and ensure superior customer service;

Collaborate with the Market Director and Human Resources to address employee relations matters for effective resolution.

Client Engagement

Manage the attainment of business objectives by employing a top client strategy to retain and nurture high-potential clients;

Enhance brand visibility, establish market presence, and capture competitive market share through community engagement and company-sponsored initiatives;

Guide the team in delivering exceptional customer service and after-sales support to foster customer loyalty;

Ensure the development and execution of company CRM initiatives by providing actionable plans to the team;

Monitor monthly CRM database reports to capture valuable customer insights for personalized client development opportunities.

Operational Excellence

Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, and other departments while adhering to and enforcing all company policies and procedures;

Monitor store expenditures and maintain the operating budget while striving to minimize overall costs;

Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and adherence to cash disbursement policies;

Comply with all Loss Prevention self-audits, inventory counts, incident reporting, and reconciliations to maintain annual inventory shrinkage below company targets;

Oversee the management of daily incoming and outgoing merchandise requests and shipments;

Provide accurate monthly staffing schedules by analyzing peak hours to ensure adequate coverage and timely payroll submissions for all employees;

Support and uphold visual merchandising standards as set by corporate headquarters;

Maintain organized company assets in accordance with back-of-house and front-of-house guidelines established by headquarters;

Ensure the borrow log and consignment program are current and compliant with company policies and procedures.

Key Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management within retail, luxury retail, or service-oriented sectors;

A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred;

Ability to analyze sales reports, identify business trends, and respond swiftly to business needs;

Proven track record of fostering positive customer experiences that build loyalty and yield measurable results;

Capability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;

Strong industry awareness and business acumen;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with outstanding organizational abilities;

A genuine passion for the fashion industry;

Willingness to work a retail schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
